June gloom might be affecting various parts of the world, but here at our HQ, the only thing hotter than this heat wave in Paris is the performance of our mobile sites!
Last month, we discussed google’s mobile search update, “Mobile-geddon“. It occurred on April 21st, and has continued to affect mobile sites ever since. While many people theorized (in some cases, rightfully so) that it would produce cataclysmic effects, potentially putting many companies out of business, we couldn’t be happier with the results.
That’s because, since 2014 we’ve been dedicating more time towards providing a truly mobile-friendly experience. With 60% of web traffic comes from mobile devices (a number that’s expected to increase), we wanted truly prioritize our mobile sites moving forward.
Analyzing our network’s historical data shows that our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Specifically, since June of 2014, visits to Audiofanzine FR’s mobile site have increased by 49% while page views increased by 61%. Those numbers are great, but Audiofanzine EN’s mobile site has performed even better, with site visits increasing by 58% and page views increasing by an astronomical 90%!
And now, here’s a breakdown of our network’s performance in June 2015:
