November 13th, 2015
November 2015 was a tough month for us in our Paris headquarters. November 13th started like any other friday at the office: we worked hard until the end of the day, then wished each other a great weekend before heading to our respective homes.
Some of us spent the night watching the France vs Germany football friendly. Then the attacks happened.
The country was in shock following the attacks. This explains why our English-speaking network of sites continued to grow, while our French traffic slowed during the week immediately following the attacks.
While we’re happy that Audiofanzine EN grew an additional 2%, and HomeRecording’s mobile site continued to gain traffic, growing by 3% relative to last month’s record numbers, for once we’re also happy that our fellow french audio-fanatics decided, instead, to take a moment to spend time with those that matter most.
We’ll never forget November 2015. But the communal response of peace and love immediately following the attacks at Bataclan was proof of one thing: the music will live on.
